Thomas Sabo has long been a mainstay in luxury accessories, so what better place for their 8th flagship store than Melbourne’s luxurious new shopping mecca, The Emporium? At an intimate evening Tuesday night, guests, including the amazingly talented Firass Dirani, were invited to preview the brand new store, sip champagne and indulge in the latest collection.
The opening of the store was not the only cause for celebration, with 2014 marking the 30th anniversary of the brand, and also the inclusion of two new brand ambassadors – It Girl and model, Gemma May Jagger and F1 driver, Nico Rosberg, whose portraits take centre stage in the new store.
The celebrated collections within the store are immaculately displayed, and speak to the thematic elements within them. Wild at Heart – a rock & roll inspired line – is clad out in a black-backed case, echoing the rich leather and sterling silver construction. Glam & Soul is full of delicate rose gold and silver pieces, complete with the signature emblems of Thomas Sabo, while the Karma Beads line is nature-inspired and introduces a new aesthetic to the brand. Finally, but not lastly, the much-loved Thomas Sabo Charm Club pieces is prominently featured, in a spectacular circular podium at the entrance to the store.
It’s refreshing to note that unlike many jewellery brands, Mr. Sabo is still intricately involved in the design of each piece, working intimately with his master design team to create the collections you’ll find in store.
