Despite the fickle Melbourne weather, the fashion and race loving crowd were our in force on the first official day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival. With most sticking to the traditional dress code of black and white, it was all about full skirts and ladylike hemlines this year. The men kept it classy in the style stakes too, with many donning well tailored suits in timeless black and bold checks for something a little different.
