Travelex and Everyday Rewards have announced a new partnership that lets customers collect Everyday Rewards points every time they exchange travel money, marking the first time Travelex customers can earn loyalty points on their foreign exchange transactions. Under the new offering, Everyday Rewards members will collect one point for every $1 AUD exchanged at Travelex. Points can be earned when purchasing foreign currency, selling back unused currency, or loading a prepaid Travelex Money Card, giving travellers multiple ways to build up their balance before, during and after a trip. Membership to Everyday Rewards is free, and eligible customers simply scan their card in store, either physical or via the app, or provide their member number when transacting online.

Once collected, points can go a long way. Every 2000 Everyday Rewards points can be redeemed for $10 off a future shop at Woolworths or other programme partners, with members also gaining access to bonus points promotions and exclusive offers throughout the year. It means a task that was once purely transactional, exchanging cash for an upcoming holiday, can now translate into real savings on everyday essentials like groceries and fuel once travellers are back home.

Asokan Sathurayar, Managing Director Australia and New Zealand at Travelex, said the partnership was designed to deliver genuine value at every stage of a customer’s journey. “We’re delighted to launch this unique proposition, delivering real everyday value through savings on groceries, travel, fuel and more. Together, we’ve created an unmatched partnership that combines the strengths of both brands to deliver meaningful value for customers,” he said. “Partnering with Everyday Rewards enables Australian travellers to earn tangible value from the moment they purchase travel money, and transforms their trip preparation into a rewarding experience.”

Everyday Rewards Managing Director Hannah Ross said the move reflects what members have been asking for. “Our members have told us they are looking for smarter ways to make their everyday budgets work harder for them, especially when planning big ticket items like an overseas trip,” she said. “Through this new partnership with Travelex, our nearly 11 million members can now turn a travel task into flexible savings on groceries, fuel and major retail brands when they return home.” Redeemable points extend across Woolworths, BIG W, Healthylife and other affiliated partners, giving members flexibility in how they use the value they earn.
