Mya Tiger, the stunning Cantonese restaurant at Hotel Esplanade, The Espy, has launched a late night dining experience like no other. Dumpling Disco lands every Friday from 8pm, bringing together curated dumplings, signature cocktails, disco vibes and plenty of prizes to kick the weekend off in style.
The concept is simple but seriously fun. Guests can tuck into a curated dumpling menu designed for sharing, because a basket of dumplings passed around the table has always been one of the best ways to bring people together. For $50 per person, the menu includes two to three pieces each of pan fried chicken dumplings, spicy pork chilli wontons, prawn dumplings, mushroom dumplings and truffle pork and prawn sui mai. Mya Tiger’s full signature cocktail list is also on offer, with standouts including the Pine and Pandan Spritz made with pineapple, pandan citrus and sparkling wine, the Jasmine Gin Sour featuring jasmine infused gin, lemon, elderflower and cinnamon, and the Frozen Lychee Martini with vodka, lychee liqueur, lemon and lychee puree.
It would not be a disco without the atmosphere to match. Disco balls will hang over the dining room while 80s tunes set the tone for the night, channelling the energy of Hong Kong Cantopop from the era. Adding to the fun, red envelope giveaways will be handed out throughout the evening, with lucky diners in with the chance to score a free dessert, a free cocktail, a free snack or even their bill covered entirely.
With flavour, fortune and seriously good times all on the menu, Dumpling Disco is shaping up to be Melbourne’s new favourite way to start the weekend.
