Concentri – Spring/Summer 2013/14

Camilla & Marc celebrated their tenth birthday in style, opening this year’s Australian Fashion Week with a beautiful collection of garments made from opulent fabrics. The range combined a mix of masculine and feminine elements, all presented in a modern silhouette.

Camilla & Marc’s trademark tailored separates were based on a palette of wine, black, pale blue, punctuated with shards of white. Delicate gold brocade corsets, covered in delicate black lace were representative of the layers of a Russian matryoshka doll, which was the inspiration behind the duo’s current collection. The theme of layering is representative of the brand’s layered past, which has been updated with a modern aesthetic.

Hemlines ranged from flirty – with a flouncy hemmed skirt in a bold pop animal print – to modest, with drop-waist skirts ending above the knee. Woven twill, silk satin and metallic jacquard provided interesting textures for next Spring/Summer.

Congratulations to camilla & marc on ten amazing years in the industry. Here’s to ten more.
