Saluministi is turning back the clock to celebrate a decade in business, bringing back its iconic Porchetta Panino at its original 2016 price of $12 (normally $22) for two days only, Thursday 23 July and Friday 24 July, across all three of its locations in Docklands, Melbourne Quarter and Flinders Lane. It was in Docklands that founders Peter Mastro and Frank Bressi opened their first permanent shopfront ten years ago, and the milestone offer honours the very first panino ever served from that store, a traditional porchetta roll that has since become the brand’s signature dish and a firm Melbourne favourite.
The Porchetta Panino is made with hand rolled free range roast pork, asiago, rocket and fennel salad in house made focaccia, and is widely considered one of the closest versions of authentic Italian porchetta available outside of Italy. For the anniversary, every panino sold at the 2016 price will be wrapped in custom designed ‘Grazie’ paper featuring a handwritten love letter to Melbourne from the Saluministi family, a heartfelt nod to the customers who have supported the business throughout its journey. “Reaching 10 years in Docklands is something we’re incredibly proud of,” said co founder Peter Mastro. “Melbourne has backed us from day one, and we’ve met some amazing people along the way. Bringing our Porchetta Panino back to its original 2016 price isn’t a promotion, it’s simply our way of saying thank you for ten incredible years of support.”
From its beginnings as a single Docklands store to its growth across multiple city locations, Saluministi has built a loyal following through genuine Italian flavours, quality ingredients and a consistent heritage standard across every site. The anniversary celebration reflects both how far the business has come and its gratitude to the community that helped get it there, with the $12 Porchetta Panino available for two days only at Docklands, Melbourne Quarter and Flinders Lane.
