A new year usually means a new fitness resolution for me, and this year has been no different. Vowing to get fit and tone up, I was on the lookout for an exercise class which would be challenging but also fun. After a recommendation from a good friend, I decided to try a session of reformer pilates at KX Pilates. Each session runs for 50 minutes an offers a high intensity, body-toning power workout that increase flexibility, balance and coordination.

The KX Pilates workout increases intensity by getting you to use the most number of muscle fibres in the shortest amount of time, and by reducing the time between sets. Each workout is based on the Isolate-Fatigue-Stretch principle which means the whole body is targeted through continuous, precise, controlled movements and functional exercises that increase the intensity of the workout, whilst at the same time engaging the core and delivering cardiovascular conditioning. This burns more calories per minute and means you’ll continue to burn calories after the class is over.

KX Pilates offers a 50% off offer for first time classes so it’s definitely worth giving the class a shot. Visit the KX Pilates website for studio locations, to book online and find out more about the classes.
