Cards on the table, I am the most unorganised person when it comes to planning outfits for events, and Spring Racing is no exception. Very  rarely do I have Luckily, if you’re as unorganised as me, Melbourne Central has you covered. Aside from great race wear destinations like Rodeo Show, Tony Bianco, Decjuba, Mocha, Tilkah, and Forever New, the CBD shopping mecca now offers a personal shopping and styling service.

With experience in personal shopping, styling and trend forecasting, Melbourne Central’s House of Stylists including Raquel Ryan, Sally Mackinnon, Elaine Marshall, and Prue Chilcott can guide you through all the of Melbourne Central and beyond. We were lucky enough to try out the kind of service you’ll get with the style set, and experience the best the centres retailers have to offer.

Beginning our style tour at Decjuba, the silhouettes are less-structured, but no less appropriate for trackside. My favourite piece of the collection was the Eden dress. If you love your fashion with a bit of a wink, you’ll also love the ‘Amazing’ clutch (pictured below).

At Rodeo Show, the collection is full of sleek, sophisticated, on-trend pieces, you’ll be spoilt for choice! My pick of the new season pieces is the Tranquil dress; the midi-length is completely race day appropriate, but the cami bodice and cheeky thigh split make it a knock out.

As for footwear, Tony Bianco have options for every racegoer. From low heels, to stilettos, to stacked heels, to wedges…no matter what you’re wearing, you’ll find the shoe to match. My favourites were the Freja for comfort and grass navigation, but for the perfect on-trend shoe of the season and trackside wow factor, you can’t go past the Fayme snakeskin mule.

Accessories tie any outfit together, and Mocha and Tilkah can help you there. The new range of Elle Lou jewellery from Mocha adds a little edge to any outfit, and Tilkah have the clutch game locked down.

Finally, you can’t pull a raceday look together without amazing millinery. Look no further than the The Millinery Association of Australia Pop-up Shop at Melbourne Central. With hundreds of unique pieces, each a standout in their own right, you can be sure that you’ll have a one of a kind piece (and an artful one at that!) come race day.
