Couturing are excited to announce that Melbourne’s GPO, Belvedere and BlackBerry are the official sponsors for the launch of Couturing.com at the exclusive “Une affaire à la mode” party in early February.

Originally starting out as a hub for postal services, MGPO was converted into a beautiful retail space in October 2004. Retaining many of the important heritage aspects of its original neo-Renaissance design, MGPO now offers a unique retail experience in the heart of Melbourne, housing some of Australia’s most exciting labels. The perfect location for the launch of Couturing, guests will be taken to the secret venue on arrival.

Guests of Couturing will be treated to a range of drinks from Belvedere with two signature cocktails being created for the event. Long time fans of Belvedere, Couturing have been obsessed with the worlds first “super premium vodka” long before we noticed their partnership with Vogue at the launch of their iPad app and well before the Belvedere Red party. It is so fantastic that such an exclusive alcohol brand is choosing to get behind such wonderful causes such as the fight against HIV/AIDS and also in their generous support of Couturing.

But how will you be viewing Couturing.com at the “Une affaire à la mode” party? Once upon a time, when you heard the word ‘blackberry’, you automatically thought of the fruit however now, thanks to clever marketing, the word BlackBerry has become synonymous with technologically advanced handheld devices and of course – the fashion industry. The BlackBerry has become a staple in the wardrobe for many and the new BlackBerry PlayBook will be no exception. Boasting a super sleek design, dual HD cameras and Wi-Fi, the BlackBerry is the perfect accessory for any fashion lover and attendees will have the chance to play with the BlackBerry PlayBook during the launch to view this exciting new tablet and the Couturing website.

Couturing are excited to announce that thanks to the generosity of BlackBerry, one lucky attendee of the Couturing Launch Party will be walking away with their very own BlackBerry PlayBook!

Also supporting Couturing in it’s launch, Acqua Panna will be providing water for all guests sourced from Italy’s region of Tuscany. The delicious water will be perfectly complimented by modern high end catering from Chili T which will be showcasing it’s range at the launch of Couturing for the first time.

Our Boys and Girls, promotion and event staff management, will so generously be providing staff for the evening. Our Boys and Girls have a promotional team that work as brand ambassadors, staff for ambush marketing or experiential marketing activations as well as staff that cater for events as waiters, bar and cocktail staff and security!

The venue will be decorated, not only by the BlackBerry PlayBooks on display but also by a delightful range of floral decorations provided by fleurs. fleurs concept store is situated in the shopping precinct of Rose Street and Beatty Avenue, Armadale and is the latest store from renowned event stylist and florist Fleur McHarg. We have no doubts that this will be one beautiful space fitting for Melbourne’s GPO!

Will you be bringing a camera? If not, do not worry, Polaroid will be providing enough cameras for all to have a cheeky snap of yourselves enjoying the party on a instant digital Z340 or in the Couturing photobooth with your images being printed instantly on the Grey Label GL10 printer.

Couturing are thrilled to have MGPO, Belvedere, BlackBerry and all of our other exciting sponsors on board to celebrate the launch of Couturing.com. Thank you so very much for your support and we cannot wait to launch the website which we know will grow into the number one platform to promote the amazing talent of Australia’s fashion landscape. Stay tuned for more information on this exciting event.
