CREAM MELBOURNE BY GHADEER EL-KHUB

The new CREAM Melbourne Salon isn’t your typical beauty shop, it’s a one-of-a-kind experience. Situated in the heart of Fitzroy at 296 Brunswick Street, this cutting-edge salon features eye-catching décor, state-of-the-art styling tools, a customer hair colour bar and much more!

Bloggers and VIP guests headed to the launch of the revamped CREAM Melbourne last week for the ultimate girls’ (and guys’) night out, where they got a sneak peak at all the salon has to offer.

The neon lit up ‘HAIR’ sign is hard to miss once you step inside the newly refurbished location, with monochrome walls and metallic details defining a fashion-forward feel. Walking through the open space each section had designated stations. From cutting to blowdry bars and colour stations, this new space is sure to impress.

Co-Directors Lee Scott and Julia Brown envisioned ultimate luxury when it came to setting up the new space.

“We wanted to create a very luxurious space and feel, a place people can come and chill out and be pampered. Our philosophy is to make people feel good, we just love doing our clients hair and creating looks that make them feel and look good,” says Lee.

As for the outdoor terrace, it was transformed into a cocktail counter for the evening, complete with a DJ and guests ordering up glasses of signature CREAM cocktails. Award-winning Red Spice Road, a South-East Asian culinary, catered the event serving up platters of yummy appetisers.

“It’s a really unique space, and with the added bonus of a terrace, options are endless. We are planning on possibly opening outdoor cutting stations,” says Lee.

Beautiful big windows take over the walls, creating a lit up station with the ultimate lighting for hairfies (hair selfie- duh!). Sponsored with products from REDKEN, KEVIN.MURPHY and Olapalex, this salon has all the right products to give your hair what it needs – moisture, shine and strength.

Something CREAM Melbourne co-Director Lee Scott feels strongly about is creating a space for young professionals to learn the tricks of the trade.

“It’s about providing a space for people to progress in their career and just have an amazing time while doing so… we have a really strong in-salon training program, so we always welcome a new junior crew,” says Lee.

Currently using REDKEN 5th Avenue for training, CREAM Melbourne are always on the look out for premium programs offering out of the box ideas.

Hairstyles may have gone in and out of fashion, but for 14 years CREAM Melbournes’ values are sure to stay. From cutting edge tools, a new modern look and delivering performance every time, the new CREAM Melbourne promises to change the way you experience hair transformations.
