It’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind, and let life’s daily stresses get the better of you. When you feel overwhelmed or simply are just having a bad day, the National Mind Shift Self Esteem Initiative’s Glass Half Full Campaign encourages all of us to stop for a minute and really appreciate all the amazing things we have in our lives. It focuses on looking for the positive in what may initially appear to be a bad situation.

So what can you do get involved? You can start by writing your own Glass Half Full Promise (maximum 40 words). It doesn’t need to be long, it just needs to mean something to you and something that is achievable. Chose a personal photo that connects to your promise and email it with your promise to campaigns@mindshift.org.au. Mind Shift will then send you a copy of your Glass Half Full Promise as a JPEG for you to share via social media with your friends and family. The promise can also be kept in a visible place to serve as a reminder to look for the positives in life.

Glass Half Full Week officially starts on 24 July but there is nothing stopping you from looking for the positives in life any day of the week! For more information about Glass Half Full Week visit The Mind Shift Website.
