THE LAST WEEKEND OF BAR SCHWEPPES 

Schweppes has been bringing a bit of Schweppervescence to Melbourne, just in time for the Melbourne Cup Carnival and the advent of Spring, with the premium Bar Schweppes experience. Schweppes has partnered with Garden State Hotel and The Emerson to bring
delicious collection of bespoke Bar Schweppes cocktails created by Schweppes’ master mixologists. This special event finishes this weekend.


Head to Bar Schweppes at Garden State Hotel featuring sleek and refined styling, taking art deco
inspiration with a premium palette of polished black and gold, making it the ultimate destination. As you step into the glass-ceiling beer garden, you are greeted by hanging signs pointing you on the path of the Bar Schweppes cocktail bar and will be treated to a sparkling display of Schweppervescence with hundreds of shimmering bubbles floating above you.

Bar Schweppes brings an exclusive birdcage experience to The Emerson Rooftop.  As you walk through the doors of The Emerson, you are immersed under a sparkling display of Schweppervescence. Step into the elevator and you are greeted with a sneak peak of what’s to come, surrounded by bubbles and beautiful gold detailing. The gates part, and the doors open to unveil the buzzing rooftop, where dozens of intricately designed birdcages hang from the sky while Bar Schweppes’ curated cocktails are being crafted behind the bar. Beautifully constructed in shimmering gold, Bar Schweppes features an immersive oversized birdcage, offering a premium location to enjoy any evening and paying homage to Flemington’s iconic Birdcage.

 

Each venue will feature a unique collection of carefully curated cocktails has something for every taste at Bar Schweppes. Cocktails are available for $15 at both venues and includes The Schweppes Flemington Fling (delicious blend of vodka, fresh lime and mint, with the bold and zesty Schwpepes Agrum Blood Orange), Maiden at The Post (an exotic twist on the classic G&T, with lemon juice and rose syrup highlighting the floral and herbaceous quinine notes of Schweppes Indian Tonic Water) and It’s Lime Thyme (a refreshing fusion of smooth light rum and fresh lime juice, finished with fragrant thyme and the natural zest of Schweppes Lemonade)

ALFRESCO ENTERTAINING WITH NEPTUNE

Those on the hunt for a picnic set to impress this summer need look no further as Windsor wine bar, Neptune, has taken all that south-siders have grown to love about the venue and packaged it into convenient hampers. The only thing purchasers need provide is good company and a blanket. A reflection of Neptune’s affinity for the Mediterranean way of dining, each hamper will showcase local
and seasonal produce for a party of two including: freshly prepared sandwiches; various cheeses and accompanying crackers, house-made pickles and jams, tinned seafood; and a bottle of wine. Complete with stemless glasses and cutlery, Neptune’s park-ready picnic hampers are priced at $90 and can be collected on the run or via Ubereats (delivered directly to your picnic spot of choice!).

LOVER 3181 LAUNCHES NEW MENU

WIndsor hotspot Lover 3181 located in Melbourne’s bustling foodie destination Chapel St, launches a new mouth-watering menu.
Lover 3181’s head chef, Paul Turner former chef at Cutler & Co, Donovan’s and Qualia, has created a new Spring menu expanding on the existing modern Australian dishes. The new dishes include an array of share style plates in preparation for a tasty selection of substantial mains. To top off the amazing new menu, Lover 3181 is dishing out their freshly made gnocchi every Wednesday night, offering $25 gnocchi and wine. Gnocchi night is the perfect occasion for a midweek date night or catch up with friends.

New small dishes include, Fried Corn – a new Lover favourite with accompanied with chipotle and lime, Steak Tartare with smoked cheese, brioche and onion rings and Flathead ceviche with a cucumber relish, topped with coriander – the perfect fresh and
light starter. New large dishes include Market fish with grilled broccoli, avocado & kimchi – light option as the weather warms
up in the lead up to Summer, Housemade Pasta bug tortellini with asparagus and buttermilk for the everyday pasta and Short Rib with mouth watering heirloom carrots, sweet soy & mustard.

Not forgetting the drinks menu, Lover is still serving up new signature cocktails including the Berry Negroni, Citrus Sour and Lover Colada along with the lengthy wine list designed to showcase local wines.
