2014’s spring racing carnival comes to a close, with Emirates Stakes Day finishing a week of fun, fashion and finally, some warmer weather. Taking cues from the climate, the colours were bold, bright, and summery, and silhouettes more relaxed for the family-friendly day…and the 34+ degree temperature.
Myer ambassador, Lauren Phillips perfectly captured the spirit of the day in a crisp white and turquoise Jayson Brunsdon dress and Miss Shop headband – leading the trend of white with accent pastels seen throughout the day. We also loved former Bachelor contestant, Laurina Fluere’s ladylike pastel and pearl look – complete with a fan to combat the heat.
