Betty’s Burgers is taking aim at one of Australia’s most beloved pub staples with the launch of its biggest burger yet. The new Loaded Parmi Burger has landed in all 75 Betty’s Burgers restaurants nationwide, bringing together the classic flavours of a chicken parmi for just $15.95. In a move sure to spark conversation among pub lovers, the burger even comes with the chips tucked inside the bun.

The launch comes as new national research reveals Australians are becoming increasingly conscious of the cost of dining out. Nearly half of those surveyed said a pub quality meal is no longer worth the price they are being asked to pay, while more than half admitted they are paying closer attention to their spending than they were two years ago. According to Betty’s, the appetite for a hearty parmi remains strong, but many diners are questioning the growing price tag attached to the pub favourite.

The Loaded Parmi Burger features crispy RSPCA Certified chicken breast, a triple cheese blend, bacon, fresh tomato, tomato relish and Betty’s signature seasoned fries, all packed into a burger designed to deliver the full parmi experience in a more affordable format. Jonathan Alston, Head of Culinary at Betty’s Burgers, said the brand wanted to honour a classic Australian dining ritual while putting its own spin on it. He described the burger as the chain’s most substantial offering to date and said including the fries inside the burger was an essential part of the concept.

The research also found that food plays a major role in how Australians enjoy live sport and social occasions, with many saying a hearty meal helps turn game day into a proper event. Chips remain a non negotiable part of the pub experience for many diners, particularly younger Australians, while Victorians continue to show a strong affection for the chicken parma. Available for a limited time, the Loaded Parmi Burger is priced at $15.95, while diners can also opt for a Parmi and Beer bundle in restaurant for $22.
