L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival kicks off this week showcasing the best of Australian fashion, and also the key beauty looks for Autumn/Winter 2013.
Principal partner of the event, L’Oreal, will be providing the key beauty looks for the week beginning with the beautiful looks that they have created for L’Oreal ambassador, Megan Gale.
We were lucky enough to get behind the looks for Megan’s campaign for LMFF, looks that can be easily replicated at home using L’Oreal Paris’ beauty range including their new products for the 2013 A/W season (Click here to read about L’Oreal’s new ranges for A/W).
The standout of the Autumn Siren look is the striking bold lip colour, L’Oreal Paris’ Colour Riche in Intense Plum. Balancing the bold lips are beautifully subtle yet wide eyes. The eyes were decorated with L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Les Ombres Eyeshadow in Timeless beige, and generous coats of L’Oreal Paris’ new False Lash Telescopic mascara in Magnetic Black.
To achieve such a flawless foundation base, the L’Oreal Paris Base Masque primer was used to prepare the skin for L’Oreal Paris’ True match foundation. Following the application of the primer and foundation, L’Oreal True March Blush in Nude Pink, was applied to the apples of the cheek and finished off with L’Oreal Paris True Match Powder to set the look.
As the name suggests, Opulent Glamour is a look that is a more dramatic than Autumn Siren, with a key focus on eyes. Also this look involves the use of L’Oreal Paris’ new Nude Magique BB range – the Nude Magique BB cream used as the foundation, Nude Magique BB blush for the cheeks and the Nude Magique BB Powder used to set the look.
The glamourous eyes were achieved by using L’Oreal Paris Superliner Gel Eyeliner in Black and L’Oreal Paris colour Riche Les Ombres Eyeshadow in Disco Smoking above and below the eye. The look is set off with coats of L’Oreal Lash architect 4D in Black Lacquer.
If you’re looking for a different nail colour this season, then try Megan’s Spicy Orange nail colour from the L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Le Vernis range.
Many people discount the use of Navy Blue in favour of Black, but Megan shows that the right application in the right areas can make this colour scheme work.
Using L’Oreal Paris’ Lumi Magique foundation and concealer to set the base look, the cheeks are enhanced with the use of L’Oreal Paris Glam Broze La Terra.
However the Navy Chic look is really focused on the eyes. L’Oreal Paris Infallible Eyeshadow in Hourglass Beige is applied to the eye lids and L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Le Smokey in Stormy Sea is applied to the upper eye line and also the lower lash line. Mascara is applied to the lashes to build the bold eye look. Brows are set with L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Le Sourcil in Deep Brown.
Nails are a bold blue using L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche le Vernis colour Midnight Mistress.
We’re excited to see what looks L’Oreal have in store for us during the runway shows at LMFF 2013.
