Kiehl’s recently launched the new Clearly Corrective Accelerated Clarity Renewing Ampoules, a 14 day intensive skin treatment to help clarify and brighten skin as well as promoting accelerated skin renewal. Recommended to use with the existing, Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution, the two are aimed to improve brightness, radiance and clarity. The 14 day treatment comes in individual applications and can be used as a step in your current skincare routine as a step after cleansing but before applying a serum and moisturiser.
What’s in it?
The formulation includes Activated C, a vitamin C derivative known to help reduce dark spots and improve clarity. It also incudes a blend of Lactic, Glycolic and Phytic acids that help prepare the skin’s surface layers and accelerates skin renewal.
How I found it?
The formulation is a thin liquid that you can pour into the palm of your hand before applying with finger tips. I will say that it’s best to not pour the whole ampoule in one go otherwise some might escape between the cracks of your palm. It’s super easy to apply with fingers and I found my skin really drank it up without leaving any sticky residue. I applied the Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution on top of it and then proceeded with my usual skincare routine. I didn’t find that it adversely cause my face during the day to become oily nor did my foundation react any differently with this in my base.
I’ll confess that my skin has a good tolerance for active skincare so I didn’t suffer any adverse reactions. When I do react, I find that I try again for a few times and my skin settles, so if you experience this then try not to give up as your skin will slowly adapt. I did start to notice after a few days that my skin looked much brighter. It makes such a difference to your appearance when your skin not only feels clearer but looks it too.
Secondly, I personally dislike my pigmentation and dark spots. It’s a personal preference and I have been on the hunt for a while to find products to help reduce the overall appearance of my pigmentation and reduce the amount of product I use to cover them up. I found that the combination of the ampoules and the solution really did help to soften the look of them and improve my skin’s overall appearance. The clarity in my skin was markedly different by the end of the program and I’m keen to use them again.
I like the structure the program brings to my skincare routine and love how each ampoule contains exactly the perfect amount for your face. Definitely consider adding to your routing if you’d like a boost of skin clarity and a nice softening of dark spots.
