Yeojin Bae has landed the talented Emma Booth as the face of her latest SS14 campaign Timeless Sensuality. Fresh from shooting Gods of Egypt with Geoffrey Rush, Bryan Brown and Abbey Lee Kershaw, Booth’s energy and beauty made her the perfect muse to represent Yeojin’s classic designs.

We caught up with Yeojin ahead of the launch of her collection to find out more about her latest collection.

1. Congratulations on the launch of your new collection Timeless Sensuality. Why is Emma Booth the perfect muse to capture the spirit of the collection?

Emma was a clear choice for me; she’s cool, talented and exudes a natural confidence.

2. Timeless Sensuality is a real celebration of women. Do you have a particular woman in mind when designing your collections?

I don’t have one particular woman; it is more a combination of clients, muses and friends I have dressed over the years. I have spent over 20 years fitting women and feel I have a genuine understanding of how to make them look their best. I admire women who respect their age and dress for themselves.

3.What you believe is your signature style, and how do you ensure that is injected into every collection?

My first loves are fabrication and fit. A strong understanding of both of these areas of design ensure that even the simplest silhouette will always looks effortless and sophisticated. Tailoring is a big part of what I do, as is colour. Red has become my signature colour and is prevalent in every Yeojin Bae collection.

4. What exciting things can we expect this year from Yeojin Bae?

YB: I’m looking forward to Melbourne Spring Fashion Week which is fast approaching! We will be showing both Yeojin Bae and my contemporary collection YB J’aime on the runway. Spring Racing is also just around the corner, which is a very busy and important time of the year for both collections.
