Last week British brand Mulberry launched its newest store in Tokyo, Japan. Following the theme of its latest Autumn/Winter campaign, the store installations were inspired by the children’s classic book, Where The Wild Things Are.

To celebrate their latest store, Mulberry released an exclusive boutique collection of the Maisie bag family. First shown as part of the Autumn/Winter 2012 catwalk collection at London Fashion Week in February.

Perfectly tailored for the Japanese market, the new Maisie bags feature the signature trompe l’oeil front panel created using heat-moulded technology to give a ‘shadow’ impression of heritage Mulberry hardware details. Three new Maisie styles, the North South Tote, East West Tote and Pouch in black, oak and flame have all been created for the store, which will also have an exclusive in-store launch of the Maisie Clipper and Oversized Maisie Clipper which are not available anywhere else until September.

It’s great to see this classic British brand creating something unique for the fashion forward Japanese market, and we are sure these quirky bags will be a sell out!
