T2 INAUGURAL CHAI FESTIVAL

T2 Chai Festival1

Chai lovers will love the inaugural Chai Festival by our favourite tea brand, T2 this Sunday 21 June from 11am-3pm at T2’s HQ. The festival, which is open to the public and free to enjoy, will celebrate the history of Chai and evoke its traditional Indian heritage. Festival-goers will be able to create their own Chai blend to take home, enjoy Indian street food and warming spicy treats, experience a traditional Chai Wallah and Henna tattoo artist, and learn about different Chai blends during free tastings.

Melbourne foodie, Adam D’Sylva, Executive Chef at CBD restaurants Tonka and Coda, will get in touch with his Indian roots by creating his own Chai blend for guests to try and take-home, plus he will be on hand from 12noon-2pm to discuss Indian food and tea matching.

High Street’s favourite hawker kitchen, Hanoi Hannah will now be serving breakfast every Sunday morning, from this Sunday 21 June.

Diners will now be able to visit the popular Vietnamese venue from 9am on Sunday mornings, indulging in kick-starters such as Vietnamese baked eggs or the more traditional, vermicelli salads – a common early morning meal in Vietnam. Chicken, beef or mushroom pho will also be available.

Caffeine enthusiasts will get their kick too, via Hanoi Hannah’s Vietnamese iced coffee. The team is also perfecting a recipe for the ultimate Bloody Mary, which is rumoured to come with a ‘garnish’ of spring rolls and Sriracha.
