In celebration of the One Day Shopping Festival, we’ve been bringing you the best lust-have trends from the runways of Fashion month and together with Melbourne Central, showed how to bring them into your wardrobe. We took a trip to the Styling & Personal Shopping Service and visited retailers from their expansive line up, guided by one of the talented styling team, Elaine Marshall, and guess what? We found that it’s not that hard to rip the look from the catwalk and translate it straight into your wardrobe.

ON THE RUNWAY

The all-white everything trend has been all over the runways this season, with Stella McCartney recreating the knit dress in crisp ivorys, Phoenix Keating loving clean, classic-with-a-twist separates, and Maticevski loved the hue so much, he built his entire runway in it. Long story short; white is not just for summer now.

REAL LIFE

To rip this look from the runway, we headed to Forever New to raid their feminine, classic pieces. We took inspiration from Stella McCartney, and translated her asymmetric knit dress into an A-line skirt, knit combination. We love the Gwen Pleated Skirt and Alexa V Neck Sweater for the look. To complete the look we love the Toni Dolly Coat and Livinia handbag.

If you want to try the cosy, sleek trend, or if you just need some new life in your wardrobe, the wait is finally over! Melbourne Central’s infamous One Day Shopping Festival kicks off today with exclusive retail offers, musical performances, art exhibitions, local street food vendors and free tours exploring the hidden gems within the centre. It is truly a one of a kind event in the city, with the centre turning into a living, breathing entity celebrating everything the city has to offer. For more details, click below!
