Celebrated Australian illustrator Kerrie Hess has lent her hand to this sweet project for luxury French macaron house, Ladurée. Available now, a unique Kerrie Hess illustration will adorn the luxurious Ladurée macaron boxes, embracing the Sydney skyline and featuring her iconic Shopping Girl in signature tones of pink and green toting Ladurée shopping bags. The collaboration with Kerrie Hess and the launch of Australia’s very own flavour of macaron follows the recent opening of Ladurée’s second Australian store in Sydney’s leafy Woollahra. The 111 Queen Street Woollahra store joins Westfield Sydney which opened in 2012.

Commenting on the collaboration, Kerrie says: “I have such fond memories of visiting Ladurée while I was living in Paris; my home was just one metro stop away from the Champs-Élysées store. To be asked to create an original design that was fashion- forward and true to the Ladurée aesthetic while celebrating my country was such an honour and an opportunity I simply couldn’t pass up”.

Kerrie Hess illustrations have been featured in VOGUE, Tatler and Harper’s Bazaar magazines and she has also drawn for countless fashion labels, billboards and book covers around the globe.

The Kerrie Hess ‘Sydney’ Ladurée gift box is available from 11th May for $36 for a box of eight macarons, and will be available for purchase at both Westfield Sydney and Woollahra stores.

One of the most anticipated openings is almost here with the launch of Woody.P. Positioned on Flinders Lane, the city’s most dynamic food precinct, Woody P is an exciting new addition to Melbourne’s bourgeoning range of restaurants and drinking spots. Opening its doors next week, the highly anticipated venue will offer a fun, relaxed social destination that will cater to a broad range of dining experiences.

Spearheaded by Head Chef Clinton Camilleri, Woody P offers a produce-driven menu defined by the following mouth-watering yet simple Mediterranean & Italian flavours. While the food will win the hearts of many Melburnians, Woody P’s beverage list also plays a very strong suit. Further paying homage to the city’s rich European heritage, the wine list offers a developed and thoughtful range of varietals, focusing on local appellations. The cocktails will be developed around an aperitvo style of drinking culture, showcasing the best aperitifs from home and abroad.

The latest addition at T2 is Matcha is a fine, powdered Green Tea traditionally used in the Japanese Tea Ceremony. It is hailed as a super food being high in antioxidants, chlorophyll and fibre. In fact, a study found that one serving of Matcha has 137 times more disease fighting polyphenols, called epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) than 10 cups of regular green tea. T2’s Matcha tea can help to detoxify the body because it helps shed the body of toxins and waste, raises the metabolism and possibly help with weight management, reduces gas and potentially helps with treating inflammation in the gut, energizing while offering a calming and relaxed feeling.
