A wave of pink has hit our shelves this October as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which gives shoppers an opportunity to donate to a good cause as well as picking up some great beauty items. It culminates today, Pink Ribbon day, and is the perfect day to support a wonderful cause.

 

Breast cancer affects millions of women worldwide, and in Australia, the National Breast Cancer Foundation aims to completely eliminate deaths caused by this by 2030. Each year a multitude of companies come together and release products in order to financially help aid research to find a cure through the sales of these pink products.

 

OPI, a proud Gold Partner of the National Breast Cancer Foundation has launched its seventh annual limited edition Pink of Hearts ($24.95) nail polish set for 2012. The duo pack features a musk pink colour called I Think In Pink as well as sparkly lacquer, You Glitter Be Good To Me, which can be worn on its own or layered on top of the musk shade. Every bottle of polish comes with a pink ribbon cap wrap in support of breast cancer and the mission to find a cure. OPI are donating 100% of sales from the pink duo set to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

 

Estee Lauder’s new Perfectionist CP+R Wrinkle Lifting Serum ($168) helps correct, repair and prevent the look of lines and wrinkles with exceptional speed and plumps them up to reduce their appearance. The serum will not only do wonders to give you a youthful appearance, but you will also be donating money to the National Breast Cancer Foundation by purchasing the product. You will also receive the 2012 Pink Ribbon charm that features a touch of blue representing the 1% of men that are also diagnosed with breast cancer.

Bobbi Brown has also released a product for the NBCF, the Pink Peony Set ($70) that includes a limited edition Pink Peony Illuminating Bronzer and Mini Face Blender Brush with a pink handle. This set is perfect for the warmer months to give your face an all over sun-kissed glow. Bobbi Brown will donate 20% from every sale to the foundation.

Clinique offers a special, limited edition super-sized bottle of their best-selling product, Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. ($110) This cult classic assists with lost moisture, leaving skin to look healthier and fresher. This year’s bottle is decked out with a white enameled “C” shape key ring on one side and a convenient mirror on the opposite side. Also included on the key ring is a mini Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion and pink ribbon charm set. Clinique will donate $20 to NBCF from every purchase.

GHD has released their prettiest straightener to date, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Pink Cherry Blossom Styler ($289) features hot pink plates and a cherry blossom carry case with $20 from every sale being donated.
