Aurelio Costarella presented his ready-to-wear collection in front of a captive audience in The Tent at MBFWA. The show opened with 2 dramatic couture style gowns, accented with dramatic headpieces. The music then stopped and changed pace, with a smokey jazz melody creating a the perfect background for Costarella’s more ready-to-wear pieces.

Models wore their hair slicked back into a double ponytail merged into one, with silver dust adding a sense of drama. Pompom headpieces made for interesting accessories and added a bit of fun to the collection.

Heavy embellishments and Costarella’s trademark feathers added delicate detail to glamourous gowns and elegant cocktail dresses. Pieces were fitted, enhancing the wearer’s silhouette perfectly. On-trend peplums and tailored corset style tops rounded out the collection which will no doubt be popular this Spring/Summer season.
