Nails have certainly not been overlooked at the latest shows at London Fashion Week. Some of the most creative manicures have been on display, as well as plenty of easy looks you can try out at home.

 

BURBERRY

The Oxblood Manicure

Burberry used a classic autumn shade for the ‘Oxblood’ manicure.  Double coats of the deep, rich red were applied to nails. This classic nail shade is perfect to try out at home!

 

HOLLY FULTON

The Stiletto Manicure

Nails at Holly Fulton resembled six inch stilettos. Michelle Class custom-made the striking nails with Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer in Red and Little Black Dress. Red and black is a great colour combo for autumn.

 

JOHN ROCHA

If you’re looking for understated nails, re-create John Rocha’s runway nail look. Earthy based nail shades are the perfect colours to match any outfit and makeup look.

 

JEAN PIERRE BRAGANZA

Nautical nails

Nautical colours were all the rage at Jean Pierre Braganza. Inspired by the colour palette of the collection, four nails were painted in navy using Essie Go Overboard. Models’ ring fingers were then painted in white with Essie Blanc and topped with a geometric print using Essie Licorice.

 

LOUISE GRAY

The Newspaper Manicure

The coolest nail trend was the ‘newspaper manicure’, spotted at Louise Gray. Butter London‘s Global Colour Ambassador Katie Hughes designed the look using real newspapers. To create the look, two coats of Butter London polish in Kerfuffle was applied to a set of false nails. Once dry, the nails were dipped into pure alcohol and then newspaper was rolled onto them. Finally, splotches of Butter London polish in a pastel yellow Jasper were applied around the nail.

 

MOSCHINO

Moschino nails reflected the theme of girly punks. The thumb and index finger were painted in hot pink MAC nail polish Girl About Town, whilst all other nails were shiny black.

 

SISTER BY SIBLING

Nails were pretty and girly at Sister by Sibling. The base was painted in a pastel blue while tips were pink.

 

SASS AND BIDE

Sass and Bide opted for a lovely autumn shade of glittering red on nails.

 

CLEMENTS

Two- toned half-moon manicure

At Clements, models sported the half-moon manicure. The tops of nails were painted in a crimson red, which is proving to be a popular shade this season. To finish the look, the ‘moon’ at the base of the nail was painted in a silver metallic colour.

 

MICHAEL VAN DER HAM

Nails stood out on Michael Van Der Ham‘s runway thanks to CND who created the look. Black nail polish was used as the base colour before applying gold nail foil.

 

HOUSE OF HOLLAND

The quirky nail look was created by Sophy Robson using Leighton Denny nail polishes. A pastel orange shade in ‘Meet me in Monaco’ was dotted onto the nail bed. Then canary yellow ‘Brick Road’ was painted in between the orange dots. To finish the look, a chocolate brown shade in ‘Not Tonight and Blend’ was dotted around the orange spots.

 

ANTIPODIUM

Nails were sparkling at Antipodium! Butter London nail polish in a silver metallic shade was applied to nails with glittering results.
