When we were asked to prepare a list of Christmas gift ideas for online Entertainment, music and Fashion hub, The Vine, we thought it would be good to have an underlying theme to tie our selections together, rather than suggest a whole lot of random products.

Since we both started blogging, we’ve met and been supported by the most amazing retailers and designers, so this Christmas, it’s time, not just for us, but for the Australian community to support them.

With the rise in chain stores and online buying, combined with a favourable exchange rate, spending trends have seen our hard earned money go overseas.  This has meant hardship for a lot of Australian businesses. with many having to close down.

So this festive season, whether you are shopping for gifts or looking to spend your Christmas money, instead of sending the money overseas, why not inject it back to our economy and show your support for the many amazing businesses right on our doorstep. To make it easy for you, we’ve done some research and selected a few of our favourite pieces and stores.

For some fantastic online ideas, check out our Christmas List for The Vine here.

If you are still looking for inspirations, make sure you check out the following retailers and designers. Hopefully you’ll find something you or someone else will love, while at the same time supporting Australia’s wonderful retailers and designers.
