CELEBRATE SPRING WITH FEAST OF MERIT

There is no two ways about it. Melbourne is a food obsessed city. Diners are prepared to wait up to 2 hours to get their hands on a meal from some of the hottest places in town. Since it opened earlier this year, Feast of Merit has been jam packed with hungry Melbournians, dying to consume the middle eastern inspired menu.

Celebrating the launch of their new Spring menu, Feast of Merit hosted an early morning breakfast on the newly opened rooftop of their Richmond home. The new offering continues on the focuses on fresh food and a farm-to-table philosophy. Highlights include the delicious bircher with toasted almonds, berries, dates and an organic rosewater yoghurt, the Feat of Merit spring/summer Yousli with coconut pana and compressed seasonal fruit. For something a little more savoury, try the local tomatoes, fresh ricotta, baby peas, garden herbs, almond and sesame vinaigarette with feast super grain toast or the Raz’el cured/smoked ocean trout, rough hummus, pickled zucchini hazelnut dukkah, poached egg and feast super grain toast. Health lovers will enjoy the fresh smoothies and fresh cold pressed juices (I Wear Lycra and the Bazzylenko are highly recommended!).

While the menu is mouth-wateringly delicious, what makes Feast of Merit special, is its commitment to helping the community. Founded by the inspiring team at YGAP, Feast of Merit is a social enterprise which strives to promote innovative ideas for social change. A large portion of the profits go towards empowering communities that are disadvantaged. Since it opened, Feast of Merit has already raised a significant amount of money, which has helped changed the lives of many in need.
