Melbourne’s most anticipated running festival is back and sure to ward off the winter blues with something for all fitness fanatics, fans and foodies. The Run Melbourne Friendship Dash will kick off the ultimate running race weekend on Saturday 28 July (dogs are welcome!), with the iconic Run Melbourne presented by lululemon series taking place the following day (Sunday 29 July).
Run Melbourne attracts over 20,000 participants across the four events: the 3K Friendship Dash (a free event suitable for families and friends) and the Runners World Half-Marathon, the Bulk Nutrients 10K run and the 5K course (suitable for all levels, including beginners).

Presenting partner, lululemon, has created a brand new lululemon Village full of fun-filled experiences perfect for participants and supporters hoping to beat the cold. The lululemon showcase store, race braids and fresh shaves, yoga, music and more will be on offer throughout the weekend. Runners and their number one fans can head straight to the event with messy hair, stubble and weary eyes knowing that on arrival their hair will be braided, faces shaved and mindsets transformed.

To keep participants and supporters nourished throughout the weekend, the lululemon Village will also encompass delicious food pop-ups including Bussy McBusface, The Alley and Toasta. What other sporting event can you enjoy brews on the move, delicious plant based meals and melted cheese?

Event ambassadors and coaches will run the city, raise funds and awareness for their chosen charities and encourage many others to join them. Ambassadors include TV presenter and former Bachelorette, Georgia Love, and Founder of Life Hub gym and fitness movement, Chris Cannon, supported by Running Coach, Ryan Mannix, and Mindful Coach, Kat John.

Over the past 10 years, an estimated 190,000 participants have raised more than $14 million for over 400 charities, and this year’s target is $2 million. Participants can raise funds and support charities close to their hearts via the fundraising platform, Everday Hero.
