Congratulations on your role as ambassador for the Sunglass Hut 94 Shades of Summer campaign. How did the collaboration come about and why are you excited to work with Sunglass Hut this summer?

Thank you! When Sunglass Hut approached me about working with them on their 94 Shades of Summer campaign, I couldn’t have been more excited.  My job pretty much involves being at the beach or poolside every day – so apart from a great bikini collection, sunglasses are my most essential accessories! Sunglass Hut is an amazing global retailer of the best sunglass brands around and I loved that I was able to bring my touch to their campaign.

What are the key trends we can expect to see in sunglasses this season?

Across the board, embellished styles, round frames, and pastel colours are the main trends for this summer. There are some really cool styles and designs available this season, which is exciting – more than ever, people can use their sunglasses as a real statement accessory.

What are some of your must-have shades for summer?

I always love a classic pair of Ray-Bans for everyday style, but I also like to mix it up with some statements shades – I’m loving the embellished Dolce & Gabbana styles for a luxe vibe, and the round pastel Prada shades (two trends in one!) for something more fashion forward.

As part of my work with Sunglass Hut I’ve also curated my own capsule collection that shows my favourite styles this summer. You can check them all out by heading here!

How will you be styling your sunglasses this season?

I’ve been styling my sunglasses with everything this season – with a bikini at the beach, with a casual outfit when I’m shopping or having lunch, with a cocktail dress for early evening dinner and drinks, and even with my exercise gear when I am working out outdoors. There are so many different styles to choose from – I’ve got my favourite pairs for every occasion and outfit!

What are your beach bag essentials?

Swimwear, a great beach towel, sunscreen, SPF Lip Balm, my phone & headphones, and a great pair of sunnies!

What tips do you have for picking the perfect sunglasses for your face?

You really need to take the time to try on different styles and see what works and what doesn’t. Look in the mirrors, but also don’t be afraid to take a selfie in-store when you are trying them on to really see how they look. I love the new Sunglass Hut flagship store on George Street in Sydney – the range is incredible and the mirrors and lighting give you a really good idea of how the shades are looking on you.

You are the ultimate beach babe! Can you share with us some of your heath and wellness secrets for looking your best this summer?

When it comes to my health, fitness and beauty routines – consistency and moderation is the key as I’m not into fads of any kind. Diet wise, I try to eat fruits, vegetables and lean proteins, but I’m all about enjoying some pasta, chocolate and a good red wine too! Lots of water is really important too. Fitness wise, I try and move in some way every day – whether it is a long walk, a yoga session, a circuit routine on the beach, a soul cycle class – or even a long day of shopping counts! I also think that your mental attitude really makes a difference in terms of how you look and feel – I’m a pretty happy and positive person and always try to see the good in life.

What songs will be on your summer playlist?

Favourite tracks on my summer playlist at the moment are Eye Of The Needle – Sia; Habits – Tove Lo; Fade Out Lines – The Avener; Small Things – Ben Howard; Walking Bliss – Flight Facilities; and Stay With Me – Ed Sheeran.

What are your favourite beauty products to help keep your skin glowing all summer long?

A gentle face cleanser; a lightweight moisturizer morning and night – I’m loving one by Kiehl’s at the moment; an SPF tinted moisturiser during the day; a light facial exfoliation once a month; and always drinking lots of water.

Where will you be spending this summer?

Funny enough, I’m actually going to be spending the Australian summer in the northern hemisphere winter! I’ve been in freezing cold Paris this last week, and have just got back to my home in LA. I’ve barely spent anytime here so I’m looking forward to a very low-key Christmas and NYE here.

What are your top tips for taking the perfect beach selfie?

The first thing is to make sure the lighting is good – harsh light and shadows do not do anyone any favours! Then make sure you are shooting yourself at a flattering angle – you should be looking slightly upwards to the camera with your neck elongated and shoulders back. Once you have got the shot, some subtle adjustments or a natural filter can really help make the image more flattering too.
