What is your relationship with jewellery and watches?

I’ve always worn watches, and jewelry came slowly as I started owning my femininity. I love gold because I love to keep my jewerly on me at all times – and I think that color is very flattering, precious, special.

What is your secret to make a look “work” with jewellery and watches?

I love mixing, I think it shouldn’t be overthought. Jewelry is a very personal thing, it shouldn’t be dictated by trends but rather tell a story about the person that’s wearing it…

What was the styling inspiration behind the shoot?

It was about letting Poppy pick what she loved and what she thought would flatter her and the clothes. It felt natural, she was able to create an intimate relationship with the jewels, they felt like she had always worn them.

What are your favorite Happy Diamonds pieces?

I love the earrings and that crazy necklace that moves and is beautiful and fascinating at the same time. I love pieces that are also conversation starters.

Tell us about the shoot with Poppy?

It was exactly as the photos feel. Intimate, inspiring, and with a great atmosphere. We played some reggae and caught up with Poppy who is the most lively and funny girl there is. She really inspired me.

How did you prepare for the shoot?

I wanted the jewels to appear in the photos exactly the way I’d like them to be worn, in a very personal way and through the day. We shot different scenarios of the life of Poppy, from morning till evening, because I think Happy Diamonds really are part of a woman’s life.

What is your relationship with jewellery and watches?

I have a very sentimental relationship with jewellery. I wear few pieces but I wear them all the time. There are gifts from loved ones, or souvenir from travels. Each piece means something to me.

What is your secret to make a look “work”?

With jewellery and watches? You should just dare to mix together clothes you think will never match! For example during the shoot, I loved to wear my Converse with a sophisticated skirt…I like to try new things. I think accessories are very important to make a look “work”: shoes, bags, but of course also jewellery… Depending on the look, I go for one statement piece, a ring or a pendant, or sometimes delicate jewellery.

What was the styling inspiration behind each look?

It was easy to play with Happy Diamonds collection because they are delicate pieces and also joyful and fun. For the casual look, we went for an accumulation of necklaces of different lengths and several small rings. It is all about contrasts. The day look was more sleek and serious, we chose a “serious” steel watch and thought it needed a bit more fun, which is why I picked the Evil Eye bracelet, the Butterfly earrings and Flower ring. For the evening look, we went for something more classic, chic, the watch is very ladylike, almost vintage looking, it goes well with the strapless dress and red lipstick.

What are your favorite Happy Diamonds pieces?

My favorite Happy Diamonds pieces are the watch that I am wearing with the cocktail dress, for it has a vintage look that I love, and the stack rings that I wear with the casual look.
