Witchery have unveiled their 2015-2016 resort collection, with classic neutrals and monochromes reigning supreme and fresh tangerines injecting a seasonally appropriate pop of colour into the line. Silhouettes are classic and lines are fluid, in keeping with the versatility that Witchery has done so well over the last few seasons.

Witchery has adopted a more luxurious aesthetic over the last few years, and the label’s First Edition Resort collection celebrates this direction. Organic colour ways ease us into the season with confidence, while attention to detail in the way of fringed finishings and natural fabrics give the range a distinct point of difference. These pieces would look as at home at a beach side resort as they would on a balmy summer’s day in the city. The transition from beachfront to bar is made effortless thanks to the mix and match nature of the collection’s hero pieces, with intricate textures and hand-stitched detailing elevating each ensemble and giving the overall collection a sense of romance and whimsy. Swimwear continues to take on an ath-leisure aesthetic, with neon oranges and aquas coming to the forefront in sporty cuts and high quality neoprenes.
The beauty of this collection, as with all of Witchery’s strongest collections, is in its versatility. Maxi dresses are easily thrown over a swimsuit poolside, but can be easily introduced into a pre-existing wardrobe meshing well with winter staples such as ankle boots and a slouchy leather jacket. Transeasonal at its very best, Witchery’s First Edition Resort 15/16 collection is attainable luxury.
