What products do you use as part of your makeup routine and what are your favourite brands?

I use Dermablend Smooth Indulgence foundation, as its non-comedogenic and is waterproof so it’s great for performing in. I also use a Ben Nye setting powder, Inika Bronzer, Mac Blush, Revlon and Mac eyeshadow palates, Rimmel ‘Glam Eyes’ black liquid eyeliner, Maybelline black eye pencil and ‘Great Lash’ mascara, and a Mac Pro Longwear Lipcolour Stain.

What is your skincare routine when you’re doing the show? We know that theatrical makeup is very different to normal makeup, so does that mean your skin requires additional attention?

I believe that less-is-more! I’ve used excessive step programs for skin care in the past and they have left me with terrible skin. For me, my theatrical makeup is better for my skin than normal everyday makeup, as it’s oil free and doesn’t set into my pores. I use the Dermablend make up remover, followed by normal everyday Pears soap to wash off any excess. Then a very light wash with Sukin Organics Facial cleanser, and before I go to bed I tone my skin with apple cider vinegar. Very random I know, but apple cider vinegar has antibacterial and antifungal properties to help prevent acne and skin infections! Also, before applying makeup, I use a light layer of Babies Only Organic “Baby Face” Nourishing Cream. I believe if it’s good for babies, it’s good for us, as you don’t want to harm baby’s skin!

What’s the best part of playing Sandy in Grease the musical?

She’s a great character! My favourite part has to be coming out in the tight black outfit at the end, it’s so iconic and really a lot of fun to strut around the stage!
