The Australian Open has officially kicked off for another year in 2014. Held in Melbourne’s Olympic Park from the 13th to the 26th of January, the tournament is always a favourite for patrons over the smmer break. With all the world’s major tennis players coming together for the Grand Slam of the Asia Pacific, The Australian Open no doubt attracts stellar crowds throughout its two week duration. Along with the tennis, the atmosphere of the tournament is like no other. The Australian Open’s very own entertainment precinct, Grand Slam Oval, not only is home to their large number of sponsor marquees but also the infamous Heineken live stage. The Heineken Live Stage will be showcasing a number of Australia’s hottest bands 6pm every night for the duration of the tournament. So if you’re keen on the lively atmosphere that comes with the Aus Open the Grand Slam Oval is definitely where it’s at. With an array of large screens located throughout the venue there is never an excuse to miss any of the tennis action.
