I’m proud to say I am makeup obsessed. I’ll spend hours in cosmetic stores, trying on different products, learning how to apply mineral foundation, achieve the perfect smoky eye and find the right colour lipstick to make my eyes pop. And, I’m always on the hunt for a new miracle balm to add to my collection.
So what’s in my makeup bag? These products are my staples and absolute favourites (well that is until I visit the cosmetic department and add to my long list…)
For skincare, I use Skinstitute Glycolic Cleanser from my beauty therapist as my everyday cleanser. When I have a breakout, my best friend is Kiehl’s Blemish Control Daily Skin Clearing Treatment! My miracle moisturiser is Chantecaille’s Water Flower Fluid which gives my skin hydration without adding oil.
My current foundation of choice is bareMinerals foundation. This product is fabulous, letting your skin breathe and stay hydrated without clogging your pores. It’s simple to use too- just swirl, tap and buff away!
I only recently invested in NARS Laguna bronzer and have no idea how I lived without it. It perfectly highlights the face without leaving you looking orange. For cheeks, I can’t go past NARS Orgasm blush -a cult favourite… seriously who doesn’t love this shimmery peachy blush?!
I love having long, jet black eyelashes but I can’t justify paying exorbitant prices for a product that has a short expiry date and is used up so quickly. Too Faced Lash Injection is my answer to this dilemma. It’s reasonably priced and gives me the fake lash look I love! I alternate between using shimmery brown eyeliner in Via Appa by NARS and liquid black eyeliner by Stila for a smoky nighttime look.
My go-to lipstick is the gorgeous peachy pink NARS lipstick in Niagera. And a girl just needs a bright red to whip out for special occasions, so I love Red Square NARS Lipliner to fulfill the job.
I love the idea of having a signature scent and my friends will tell you that mine is undoubtedly peach. Coast to Coast Desert Peach lip balm smells absolutely divine and moisturises your lips with a subtle glossy shine. I wear it alone or underneath my favourite lipsticks for that sweet lingering smell.
My favourite body wash is Kit’s Peace, Love and Coconuts Body Wash that leaves me with blissfully scented coconut and vanilla skin. And my ultimate choice of fragrance is Chance by Chanel; sophisticated elegance.
