Couturing’s Editor-In-Chief, Lisa Teh, takes us through her makeup bag and the favourite products that she can’t live without.

I generally favor fresh, fruity scents. Marc Jacobs Daisy is my fragrance of choice for the day, and I like Chloe Love for night-time.

Tinted Moisturiser

I love the Aveda Inner-Light Tinted Moisturiser. It offers SPF15 coverage and is great for sensitive skin. It is light enough that your pores don’t feel clogged but also offers some coverage. Perfect for mixing with a little bit of foundation for a heavier coverage.

Elizabeth Arden 8-Hour Cream

Once you use it, it’s easy to see why this cream has become a cult favourite. It’s one of the few products which I’ve found you can use for intense lip hydration. It’s also great to use on any particularly dry spots, e.g. elbows and hands.

Clinique Brush On Cream Liner

This product is great for creating a smokey eye. I usually use the brown first, then layer it with some black. This softens the colour a bit. It doesn’t dry straight away which makes it easier to smudge. With the right brush you can also achieve a winged liner look. It goes on glossy but dries matt.

I generally prefer to mix my foundation with tinted moisturiser for a dewy and light coverage. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua is great for the daytime, and offers a nice, light coverage with only a small amount required. For night time or special occasions, Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation offers more coverage and stays put, even though it’s a light formula.

Origins Brighter By Nature Peel

These face wipes are really amazing! I cannot recommend them highly enough. They are great for smoothing out your skin and help heal blemishes quicker. For special occasions, use these wipes before applying makeup for glowing skin.

I think every girl needs a great red and nude lip colour. I personally prefer a matt look and the form of lip pencils so my choices are NARS  Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl, and Chanel Lip Pencil in Nude.

I love NARS Bronzing Powder in Laguna for contouring cheeks, which gives you a summery, “I’ve just been in the sun” glow.
