The beauty look at Runway 07 at VAMFF could be summed up in one word: cool. The look went perfectly with the edgy and contemporary clothes, as models stomped down the runway to a Kanye West soundtrack. Hair by L’Oreal Professionnel was curled into loose, textured waves parted deep on one side, while the other side of the head featured twisted cornrows that Kanye himself would have ordered. Makeup by L’Oreal Paris saw a mouthwatering matte orange as the focus of the face, which was balanced with a strong, groomed brow.

Skin was prepped first with the Lumi Magique Primer, and made incredibly luminous using Nude Magique Foundation, BB Blush and BB Powder. Brows were filled in with Superliner Brow Artist Designer for a defined, almost angular brow.
The eyes were kept soft and pretty to stop the overall face from looking too overdone. Colour Riche Le Khol Eyeliner in White was applied to the waterline to wake up the eyes, and Infallible Eyeshadow in Hourglass Beige gave a subtle sheen to the eyes. False Lash Butterfly Wings Mascara in Black finished off the simple eye with fluttery lashes.
The typically classic look was kept modern with a punchy red-orange lipstick in a matte finish (Colour Riche Moisture Matte Lipstick in Orange Power). The nails gave the same effect in Colour Riche Le Vernis in Spicy Orange, topped off with a matte top coat (#915)
Hair by L’Oreal Professionnel
The hair look for the VAMFF Runway 07 show used a mixture of curls, twists and beautiful full texture. Thanks to the creative flair of Brad Ngata, L’Oréal Professionnel VAMFF Hair Director, when combined these elements form a fresh, wearable look, with a couple of quirky accents. On one side you see classic flowing soft curls, while on the other, punk like twists are pinned and preened into place for a tougher finish.
“The look has a cool, textured beach vibe with accents of tight twists at the side to give the style a tougher edge. This adds a nice surprise to the overall sexiness and glamour feel to the look,” explains Brad Ngata backstage for L’Oréal Professionnel.
