Kaya Health Club guarantees the feel good factor giving visitors passion and support on their health and wellness journeys, through a combination of mind and body classes and therapies.

Kaya was started over twenty months ago by husband and wife team Christian and Koula Ruggeri who wanted to give Melbournians a premium and affordable Mind and Body health club that provided both fitness classes, dedicated cardio and weight zones, whilst specialising in pilates and yoga.

After speaking with founder Christian, Couturing were able to delve a little deeper into the mindset of Kaya. The whole ethos behind the starting the health club was Christian’s dream to own his own business since he was young and working in such a positive industry is what drives him each day, “At Kaya it’s so rewarding to see members achieve their health goals. Every decision that we make as a team, we do with our members’ best interests in mind.”

The most popular classes at Kaya are the Pilates reformer, with members having access to over 65 pilates reformer classes per week and Yin Yoga along with Yoga overall. Christian and Koula are keen to create a warm and friendly atmosphere and are dedicated to making their members not feel like just a number. With a combination of over 16 years in the industry they introduced alternative therapies to complement their fitness service including “Naturopathy” which helps with metabolism and fertility, channelling vital energy through the body. The positive duo also created a high intensity cardio based programme exclusive to Kaya called Box Fitness Circuit, a popular class in the Chapel Street club.

Whilst they hope to expand one day if the opportunity presents itself, Christian notes “We’re not driven by expansion but instead by providing a remarkable and constant product/service. We never want to lose control of what we’ve created as specialised.”

The fitness based classes sit hand in hand with the complimentary therapies, aiming to provide users as a one stop shop to feeling good.
