Nowadays, the Scotch Malt Whiskey Society is worldwide and ready to share its knowledge. The tasting this Wednesday offers the chance to cheat the first week of winter by warming you from the inside out. A little pricey, but at the end your new ability to gravely swirl a tumbler of golden liquid will be a great party trick.

Queen’s Birthday Eve at Secret Garden
It’s the Queen’s Birthday Eve, which makes this Sunday funday a time for tipple. Secret Garden in St Kilda have a swanky venue, cocktails and the promise of DJs and dancing. Starts at 3 pm, so if the idea of going out late doesn’t quite gel, there’s still a chance for a cheeky one. Watch out for potential crowds.
