BE ENLIGHTENED WITH KAILIS PEARLS

If you’re currently in a style rut, why not take some inspiration from style icon Jackie O, who once said “pearls are always appropriate.” Now is the perfect time to inject some classic jewellery into your wardrobe, with Kailis releasing their latest range of pearl jewellery entitled, The Enlightenment Collection. The name takes inspiration from enlightenment in the design of fine pearl jewellery. Like the brand itself, which takes a classic element and gives it a modern twist, The Enlightenment Collection combines the natural beauty of Australian South Sea pearls with the centuries old art of Guilloché.

The art of Guilloché dates back to the 1700’s, and is a detailed and time consuming craft which merges delicate hand engraved patterns of geometric lines on precious metals with layers of hand painted coloured translucent enamel. The art of Guilloché was used to decorate art, dressing table sets and most famously Fabergé Eggs.

The contours of the Guilloché elements are set out in a way to capture and reflect light from the engraving beneath the coloured enamel, beautifully enhancing the beauty of pearls and diamonds. The jewellery in The Enlightenment Collection is available in 3 colours day break (black), mediterranean blue (cobalt blue), aurora green (teal).

To create their collections, Kailis only uses untreated Australian South Seas pearls of the highest grade. Each piece of Kailis jewellery contains a ‘hidden’ black diamond, representative of Kailis’ unique style signature and a symbol of authenticity.

The Enlightenment Collection will be available from Kailis Jewellery stores in Perth, Fremantle and Broome as well as selected stockists nationally from 20 October. Visit the Kailis website for your nearest stockist.
