Byredo has become known for pushing the envelope when it comes to tantalising your senses. Cult favourites Gypsy Water and Bal D’Afrique are regulars on the Instagram feeds of fashion and beauty lovers around the globe. Its latest fragrance, Flowerhead, is sure to quickly become a favourite amongst perfume lovers.

Creative Director Ben Gorham took inspiration from his own imagined Indian wedding ceremony when creating the fragrance. His expression of cultural heritage is brought to life with an explosion of floral scents, beautifully layered upon another to create a unique symphony of ingredients. The use of the flower is highly symbolic in traditional Indian weddings, and Gorham has really harnessed the classic scents and re-worked them with his modern twist, creating a luscious and enveloping perfume which will grab your senses and leave them wanting more.

A delicious wild jasmine sambac lies at the heart of the scent. This fragrant flower is full of personality and traditionally used in the hair of the bride and in the leis worn by the celebrating couple. Dewy tuberose and rose petals are combined for good luck, adding a freshness and romance to the fragrance. Added to the mix is the zest of the Sicilian lemon, the sweet herbal spice of angelica seeds and the fruity twist of the lingonberry.  Its warm undertones of amber and suede will embrace and hypnotise your senses.

Flowerhead is unlike any other scent you have smelt before. It’s fresh enough for the day, but dramatic and passionate enough for the night. It’s long lasting, with the fragrance transforming as you wear it and different notes come to the fore.

Flowerhead is a celebration of love and light and an olfactory toast to the romance and passion of nature.

You can purchase Byredo from Mecca Cosmetica online and in store from 27 April.
