BEST DRESSED AT CROWN OAKS DAY

Femininity was the word of the day as women ruled the trackside style stakes at Crown Oaks Day- traditionally, Ladies Day.

A more relaxed atmosphere descended upon the Flemington Birdcage somewhere between Melbourne Cup and Oaks day, and was greeted by punters with open arms. A fun and flirty approach to styling took favour over the structure of Cup Day attire, with guests and celebrities donning full, voluminous skirts, touches of lace and a dresses with a little more room to move.

Blogger Nicole Warne dazzled in emerald green- potentially the colour of the season, if stylist Lana Wilkinson’s Melbourne Cup ensemble is any indication. Rebecca Judd also sported a pop of our new favourite jewel tone, splashed across a flirty Peter Pillotto number and teamed with custom headwear by milliner Danica Erard. Model and Swisse ambassador Ashley Hart sported another ladylike, 50s inspired ensemble in crisp white and fire engine red, while former Miss Universe Australia Renae Ayris looked super sweet in cream and gold.
