Audi Centre Melbourne opened its doors to the largest new Audi showroom in the Southern Hemisphere with a huge party to celebrate the official opening. The Swanston street redevelopment showcases 40 new vehicles across three levels, offering new ways for customers to interact and experience the very latest Audi product. The impressive $25 million redevelopment of Audi Centre Melbourne was officially opened by Terence Johnsson, Vice- President of Sales, Region Overseas for AUDI AG, together with Audi Australia’s Managing Director, Andrew Doyle and owner of Audi Centre Melbourne, Bobby Zagame.
The new facility is the first in Australia to feature the brand new Audi Sport showroom concept. With Australia having been identified as a pilot market worldwide for the Audi Sport showroom concept, the third floor of the new Audi Centre Melbourne facility has been turned into a 200m2 showcase for the brand’s high performance range. RS and R8 vehicles, special wheel selections, exclusive vehicle accessories and an extensive range of merchandise that pays tribute to Audi’s legendary motorsport success is available for Audi enthusiasts to purchase in this new ‘shop within a shop’ concept.
The Audi Centre Melbourne opening event featured food by Audi Ambassadors, Shannon Bennett and George Calombaris, who impressed over 650 guests with their culinary dishes. Comedy duo, Hamish and Andy emceed the event, much to the delight of the crowd, with their humorous take on the new centre and the Audi brand. There were special performances by Megan Washington and Wikid Force, all in the spacious Audi centre. Guests also enjoyed drinks from Lauren Perrier, Port Phillip Estate Wines, Asahi Premium Beverages and Capi Mineral Waters.
