UNITED WE STAND

Breast cancer is a cause close to a lot of people’s hearts. Unfortunately, all too many of us have been touched by the disease is someway shape or form. Couturing are excited to get behind the United We Stand campaign, founded by The McGrath Foundation, Samantha Wills and Mount Franklin.

Following the success of last year’s campaign, Creative Director of the United We Stand Campaign Samantha Wills, has once again leant her artistic talents to the collaboration. The United We Stand Campaign is designed to raise money to help the important work of The McGrath Foundation which ensures every family experiencing breast cancer in Australia has access to a breast care nurse no matter where they live or their financial situation. Founded by the inspirational Jane McGrath who tragically lost her battle with breast cancer, The McGrath Foundation is one of Australia’s leading breast cancer support organisations, with over 25,000 Australian families supported nationally in the last five years.

To celebrate this year’s campaign, Wills has designed a beautiful t-shirt featuring the campaign’s signature jewelled headpiece print illustrated by the talented Kelly Smith from Birdy & Me, inspired by the ‘Warrioress’. The rose gold epaulettes on the shirt represents strength and femininity and the t-shirt serves as a tribute to the strength of women who are not only suffering from the insidious disease, but the strength of those around them supporting them. Wills has also designed a collection of jewellery for the campaign.

Mount Franklin will also be turning their iconic 600ml plastic bottles completely pink for a limited time throughout the campaign.

“This collection is ultimately celebrating strong women across Australia coming together to make a difference. As a long-time friend and support of the McGrath Foundation. I’m delighted to be uniting with Mount Franklin once again in support of this cause.
