Pidapipo Gelateria has once again teamed up with long time collaborators and organic chocolatiers Hunted + Gathered to create the Christmas cake of your dreams: Christmas Cherry Bomb Cake which will be available at all Pidapipo and the Hunted + Gathered stores from Tuesday 3 December until 1
January 2020. This season’s Christmas cake sits on a H+ G 70% Dominican Republic dark chocolate cake base and is filled with layers of panforte gelato – spiced with candied fruit and nuts – and cherry sorbetto. The whole cake is then adorned in Hunted + Gathered white chocolate, Italian meringue and decorated with festive clippings of pine, glacé cherries and silver leaf. Serving six to eight people, the Cherry Bomb will be the cherry on top of any
festive gathering this silly season.

For an alternative sweet treat this Christmas, Hunted + Gathered have also created two limited edition chocolate bars: a classic 70% dark chocolate with panforte that will be available for purchase from Pidapipo, Hunted + Gathered and select stockists. The white chocolate bar version, complete with Christmas spices (think cinnamon, nutmeg & black pepper) will be available exclusively from Pidapipo and Hunted + Gathered.

To celebrate, Pidapipo will be throwing an in-store giveaway to officially launch the cake at their Carlton gelateria on Monday 2 December from 5 pm – 7 pm. Customers will get a free single scoop of either panforte gelato or cherry sorbetto used in the Cherry Bomb cake, with Hunted + Gathered white chocolate chips. Also available will be samples of the Hunted + Gathered limited edition chocolate. Get your skates on as the first ten people to arrive at the store at 5pm will receive a full-sized Cherry Bomb cake to take home and there will also be some live entertainment to get you in the festive spirit.
The Pidapipo x Hunted Gathered Christmas Cherry Bomb cake will only available in store from December 3 until New Year’s Day 2020 and is priced at $60.

Victoria’s destination sparkling winery, Domaine Chandon, will launch their very own Pique-Nique concept on Saturday 7 December to celebrate the summer season. Originating from France, the social eating occasion of ‘Pique-Nique’ is now a well-loved concept enjoyed all over the world, and Chandon’s adaption provides the perfect setting to share moments (and bubbles!) between friends. This casual shared dining experience pairs perfectly with the Australian lifestyle, and there’s no better place to enjoy it than in the heart of the Yarra Valley at Domaine Chandon’s picturesque winery, looking out over the vineyards and the surrounding Yarra Ranges.

The concept features ten pop-up picnic spaces all positioned on the wineries newly renamed, ‘Pique-Nique Lawn;’ that has been designed as a luxury, laid back, outdoor dining option to the cellar door. Perfect for couples and small groups, each bookable spot has its own personalised style and is decked out with plush cushions, linen, woven mats, fringed umbrellas and native florals. Pique-Nique goers will be able to collect their picnic basket on arrival, packed with a selection of delicious food, all designed to be shared. To coincide with the arrival of Pique-Nique, Chandon will launch three custom summer cocktails featuring fresh botanical-inspired flavours. This new cocktail range will be available at the winery over the warmer months and will showcase the versatility of Chandon’s sparkling range.
