Kiehl’s has stepped into the collagen skincare category for the first time, launching its 1cc CollaShot Plump Serum, a fast-absorbing formula designed to visibly plump and firm the look of skin. True to the brand’s dermatological roots, the serum leans on a trio of actives: Recombinant Collagen Polypeptide to support the appearance of firmness, Vitamin B12 to address visible signs of skin fatigue, and Rhamnose to help restore bounce and cushion. With continued twice-daily use, it’s formulated to target the visible effects of skin ageing, including the look of fine lines, wrinkles and reduced elasticity.
The serum’s signature is its pink, bouncy texture, a result of the Vitamin B12, and Kiehl’s says the formula has been put through its paces in cosmeto-clinical testing. Across a 12-week study of 109 subjects using the product twice daily, results showed a 21% increase in volume and a threefold improvement in plumpness after just eight weeks, alongside a 9% boost in elasticity. Separate instrumental testing on 25 subjects also pointed to 48 hours of hydration.
Kiehl’s Australia and New Zealand Brand Director Nora Trattner says the launch marks a meaningful moment for the brand as it moves into collagen skincare, noting the goal was to approach the trending ingredient in a way that still felt “distinctly Kiehl’s” grounded in science and focused on visible results.
The 1cc CollaShot Plump Serum is now available in Kiehl’s stores nationally and online, with a 30ml priced at $99 and a 50ml at $134.
