MECCA COSMETICA has unveiled DERMAL DOSE Brightening Serum with 15% Vitamin C, a reformulation of one of the brand’s most popular products, now engineered to solve the age old problem of Vitamin C serums losing potency once opened. The new formula balances 12% water soluble Vitamin C for immediate brightness with 3% oil soluble Vitamin C to target pigmentation and discolouration, while Liquorice Extract helps even skin tone and Panthenol supports the skin barrier.
The launch follows extensive research into stability and oxidation, two of the biggest challenges in Vitamin C formulation. In an eight week clinical trial of 30 participants, the serum delivered a 52% increase in skin brightness and a 21% improvement in skin clarity. Independent user trials backed up those results, with 97% of participants agreeing their skin looked brighter and healthier after eight weeks, and 74% reporting an improvement in the appearance of pigmentation.
MECCA-Maginations Senior Product Development Manager Sarah Hudson said the brand’s Living Lab of Beauty, the ongoing dialogue between customers and in store specialists, consistently pointed to the same frustration.
