PROSECCO FESTIVAL

 

Attention all sparkling-vinofanatics, cancel ALL your plans next Saturday 29 February as The Prosecco Festival is back with a vengeance!  Northcote Town Hall is preparing for an influx of Prosecco-lovers, eager to sip their Saturday afternoon away as they taste over 45 different Proseccos from Italy & Australia including Tenuta 2 Castelli, Dal Zotto, Tar & Roses & Bottega.  Split across two sessions 11:00am – 3:00pm and 4:30pm – 8:30pm, festival-goers will be treated to four hours of wining, snacking and dining.

Indulge in an array of Prosecco-pairing foods including traditional Neapolitan pizza from award-winning 400 Gradi, bite-sized arancini from Arancini Art, Prosecco salami from The Meat Room, Prosecco-infused Gelato from Zero Gradi and Prosecco-flavoured cannoli from Eat Cannoli – with plenty of gluten free and vegan options for all.

For the self-proclaimed sommeliers who are craving more, VIP tickets are available for each session. This golden ticket will get you a 45 minute Masterclass along with access to the VIP balcony and experiences.

Van Di Vino will also be serving up a storm of Select Aperitivo Venetian Spritz to keep the spritz-fiends satisfied!

Sober drivers and those in-need of an electrolyte boost can get their fix at the VÖOST Vitamin hydration station, or satisfy your snack cravings thanks to Harvest Snaps, the festival’s official snack food partner.

FROMAGE A TROIS

Fromage a Trois returns in 2020 and will take place on Sunday, 22 March at the beautiful Werribee Park Mansion, with lush greenery surrounding the amazing vendors, performers and entertainers!

The festival devoted to Cheese will see a variety of producers and providores offering a variety of cheese related delights including That’s Amore Cheese & Cannoleria who will be demonstrating their skills with mozarella, Milk the Cow sharing their cheese and wine pairings, Harper & Blohm creating gourmet grilled Cheese sandwiches, 48hr Pizza serving their award winning ‘best pizza’ from the 2019 world pizza championships and The Mac Project creating unique mac’n’cheese donuts including one with truffle.

Changing things up this year, Fromage a Trois is adding notable talent to their live stage entertainment! Olympia, Jess Ribiera, Bec Sandridge and Laura Jean will be providing catchy tunes all day long, entertainment on the live stage throughout the day.

This year will also see special guest and new MasterChef Judge, Melissa Leong, hosting the Fromage a Trois Chef and Cheesemaker stage, just before she appears on screens in this year’s new season.

LESS THAN ONE MONTH UNTIL MELBOURNE FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL

The Melbourne Food & Wine Festival paired with principal partner Bank of Melbourne is now less than one month away starting on 19 March 2020 until 29 March 2020. This year will see some of the most exciting local and international names in food and drink descending on the city for an unmissable 10 days. The new program will take place exclusively in Melbourne in March,with a dedicated festival in regional Victoria set to launch in spring 2020, showcasing more of the state’s abundance of great food and drink than ever before.

This year, the festival will see the historic Queen Victoria Market become the official home of the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival’s feature events.

Feature events include the beloved Bank of Melbourne World’s Longest Lunch on Friday 20 March, bringing together three of Melbourne’s culinary masters, Stephanie Alexander, Philippe Mouchel and Jacques Reymond, to deliver an outdoor feast for more than 1,600 guests in Melbourne’s Treasury Gardens,set against the backdrop of the city skyline.
