For some people, Valentines Day is not a day filled with romance, love and flowers. In fact, it can be one of the most dreaded days of the year. This Valentines Day, for something a little different, why don’t you pay a visit to SO:ME Space located in the heart of South Melbourne Market.

SO:ME Space is a fantastic, fashionable addition to the popular South Melbourne Market and includes retailers such as Asuze, Mr Simple, Jane (which sells LIFE with BRID, An Ode to No One, Jensen, Skinny Nelson and Handsom), bookstore One Little Piggie and bike store Bakerlike. For the art fanatics, there is SO:ME Gallery which is curated by No Vacancy’s Andrew Chew.

SO:ME have collaborated with contemporary jewellery store Stone Glint & Bone to create Valentines Noir, a ‘killer’ combination of dark passion, chocolate, black blooms and a limited jewellery collection, think arrows, daggers, broken hearts and bones. This event will be the exclusive release of this collection so make sure you are one of the first to check it out!

Unique dark roses will also be handed out to shoppers and any purchases will come with black heart chocolates.

So this year, if you are sick of the over-commercialised Valentines Day celebrations, make sure you pay a visit to Valentines Noir for something a little twisted! The installation opened on Saturday 4 February and will be running for just 10 days.
