The Exchange Hotel’s Beach Club is popping up again just in time for more summer fun. It will be open from now until Monday 24 th February, from midday-10pm each day. The Exchange Beach Club is a free event, and will pop up on Port Melbourne Beach, at the end of Bay Street. The activation includes a container bar, full kitchen serving fresh seafood and summer salads, ice cream cart, beachside cabanas, live music Friday – Sunday, volleyball, totem tennis and plenty of deck chairs and sun loungers for soaking up the sunshine.

The Exchange Hotel’s Manager Giuseppe Lacava is excited to bring the concept back to Port Melbourne. “Port Melbourne life really centres around the beach and the waterfront, yet most waterfront activity in the City of Port Phillip tends to focus on St Kilda and further down the bay. I’m excited for the Beach Club’s return to Port Melbourne Beach, and this year we are going bigger and better – with the addition of beachside cabanas and bottomless sunset
sessions. Our locals are going to love it, you can even bring your pooch pals.”

Book a cabana and chill out with the ultimate VIP beachside experience. Perfect for groups of 2-4 people, each cabana can be booked out in 2 sessions, arvo session from 12pm-4:30pm or sunset session from 5pm-10pm. Enjoy full table service so you don’t have to move a muscle – just relax, kick back, sip and snack whilst taking in the views and all your favourite tunes.

Australian Venue Co Executive Chef Christian Abbott has designed a summery menu featuring Wagyu beef skewers straight from the grill, juicy burgers, light salads, and fresh seafood such as calamari, fish and lobster rolls. Don’t forget to grab a scoop from the ice cream cart, serving up different flavours all month long. The thirst quenching drinks list features delicious cocktails on tap – think Miami Iced Tea, Passionfruit Caprioska and Margarita slushies. Plus cold beer on tap, wines by the carafe, and esky packages for groups.

This year you can order on your phone and have your food and drinks delivered to your table. No waiting in lines. Bottomless sunset sessions will run every Thursday from 6pm-8pm. Watch the sun go down whilst enjoying bottomless cocktails on tap, beers and tap wines, plus a food item from the seafood, burger, skewer or salad section of the menu. Live entertainment includes DJs playing every Friday and Saturday from 6pm-10pm and Sunday 1pm-5pm.
