Designer Phillip Lim has taken inspiration from his latest comic book themed collection and released an exclusive graphic novel entitled Kill The Night. With the heroines of the novel wearing Lim’s latest collection, the designer has found a creative way to showcase his latest range. Inspired by graphic novels Sin City and V for Vendetta, Lim partnered with John Ostrander to write the book, with Jan Duursema of Star Wars comic fame doing the illustrations.

Like the collection, the comic will be in black and white. It focuses on dualing principles like day and night, and love and hate. With lookbooks often taking a very traditional form, it’s great to see designers like Lim who are thinking outside the box when it comes to promoting their brand.

Kill The Night will be released on 6 September. You can register to receive your copy at Lim’s website.
