Summer is coming up (as I’m sure you are aware) and what have you done to get yourself summer ready? You’ve bought a new Seafolly bikini, shelled out on a gorgeous Missoni towel and you’re ready to hit the beach – not quite, have you forgotten?! Unless you have a pair of designer sunnies, don’t bother going near that sun.

I think most people would know that I am crazy for sunglasses and own far too many (9), what I don’t think many people know is the value in shelling out for a new pair of designer frames. For a long long time in the dark days, I would be spending MAX $20 on some cheapo plastic pair and justified my spending as I would always break and damage the pair and I think many can relate to this mentality. It wasn’t until my first pair of Persols that I had real pride in my sunglasses and to this day, haven’t damaged or lost them. Not only that but because the frame was such a devine quality, it hasn’t snapped and suffice to say the lens and UV protection has made me reliant on wearing sunglasses at all times…. and I mean all times, including indoors.

What I am excited to share with everyone is that OPSM is running the Sunshine Tour. They are going around the country in an Ice-Cream Van filled to the brim with sunglasses for you to try on and take photos with. If you take a photo in it and get the most likes on Facebook you will become the face of their next summer campaign! Couturing will go behind the scenes on the day to capture all the action for you!

So if you’re ready to update your sunnies for summer, make sure you head down to Southbank in Melbourne tomorrow (Friday 9 December) from 11:30am to 3:30pm and let the friendly staff at OPSM help you find the perfect pair for your face. Check out some photos below of past tours for some inspiration!
